About Shinobu at our nursery

Our garden carries two types of Shinobu seedlings: Japanese-grown and evergreen (subtropical).
Shinobu, made in Japan,
It has different faces in each season, sprouting in spring, growing leaves in summer, turning red in autumn, and losing its leaves in winter.

Enjoy hanging it outdoors, such as under a eaves or tree where it is not exposed to direct sunlight.
Shinobu is an evergreen plant that keeps its green leaves all year round.
You can enjoy it indoors by hanging it on a stand or planting it in a stone pot.
In warm seasons, you can enjoy it outdoors by hanging it under the eaves or on a tree.

Our Shinobu seedlings are grown for five to six years in a dedicated field of over 5,000m2.
They are planted in soil balls of various shapes and grown for a further one to three years before being shipped.
Japanese seedlings are exposed to harsh temperatures ranging from 40 degrees to -8 degrees, lack of water, cold winds, and the maximum amount of sunlight.
This is a robust seedling that will not die even in slightly adverse conditions or withstand lack of care.
